Did you know that 1 in 8 American couples struggle with infertility each year, yet only a quarter of healthcare insurers offer coverage for infertility care? For many couples, coming up with the money to pay for treatment not covered under their medical insurance can be a huge strain on finances and emotions.

The doctors at Fertility Answers feel strongly that couples, no matter their financial limitations or lack of infertility insurance coverage, should have the chance to build their families. That’s why they created the Gift of Hope, now in its 13th year, to help infertile couples in Louisiana overcome these barriers to building their families through the gift of an in vitro fertilization cycle.

Don’t let finances or your lack of insurance coverage get in the way of building your family.  Find out if you are eligible to apply for this year’s Gift of Hope. Since 2006, there have been 17 Louisiana couples chosen for the Gift of Hope IVF grant, eight of which conceived and six babies have been born as a result! The combined value of donated services for the Gift of Hope IVF award is estimated at $15,000 per couple. Additionally, since 2006 the doctors have also awarded several couples the gift of intrauterine inseminations (IUI), a less costly and less invasive fertility procedure. Fertility Answers and its partners have donated over $275,000 in services since the programs beginnings 13 years ago.

Donors include Fertility Answers, Ovation Fertility, Women’s & Children’s Hospital, Sheridan Healthcare, Louisiana Anesthesiology, and many of our pharmaceutical partners.
