We use modern fertility treatments that are proven and effective, and we keep our treatments as cost-effective as possible. Ask us about affordable assisted reproduction solutions.
It’s common for women trying to conceive to start of with basic fertility treatments. Depending on her unique situation, this often entails taking fertility medications to stimulate the ovaries and increase the number of eggs per menstrual cycle. Many times this oral and/or injectable fertility treatment will be the key to conception.
Our fertility experts also employ many advanced fertility treatments if the woman does not respond to more conservative efforts. These may include intrauterine insemination, IUI, and assisted reproductive technology (ART) such as in vitro fertilization, IVF, to help you achieve a healthy pregnancy.
IUI and IVF are the cornerstones of our fertility treatment program
An IUI cycle introduces sperm directly into the uterus. With IVF, sperm and egg are combined in a petri dish (in vitro means “outside the body”) to increase your chances for becoming pregnant. For couples experiencing trouble conceiving due to low sperm count or male infertility, we provide intracytoplasmic sperm injection or ICSI, one of the most heralded breakthroughs in modern reproductive medicine. ICSI enables us to inject a single sperm directly into the egg.
IVF also helps couples that have had trouble conceiving due to:
- Advanced maternal age
- Endometriosis
- Premature menopause
- Obstructed fallopian tubes
- Unexplained infertility
Cryopreservation is the key to future pregnancy
A proactive fertility treatment we use at our Lafayette and Baton Rouge fertility centers is cryopreservation. For women who are not quite ready to start a family but are worried about aging, we can freeze your eggs for later use. If you’ve decided to conceive a child with IVF, you may also want to freeze extra embryos for future frozen embryo transfer cycles. This gives couples another chance at becoming pregnant without going through another cycle of ovarian stimulation.
