Physician Assistant – Certified, Lafayette location
Fertility Answers, Lafayette, is thrilled to announce an exciting full-time opportunity for a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Physician Assistant. We are actively seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team of three board-certified reproductive endocrinologists, a Physician Assistant, and a highly skilled nursing staff. If you have prior experience in RE/Infertility or Women’s Health, we invite you to explore this rewarding position with us.
Clinic-based full-time position, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Shared at home on call duties (1 in 4).
Salary: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- State licensure in Louisiana.
- BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required; ACLS may be required in specific areas.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Saline Infusion Sonograms, IUI (Intrauterine Inseminations), and hysterosalpingograms.
- Perform Transvaginal ultrasounds for follicle monitoring.
- Address patient concerns such as pain, abnormal menstrual cycles, and first-trimester bleeding.
- Counsel and manage cancer patients for fertility preservation.
- Consult with pregnant infertility patients for initial OB visits.
- Consult with patients dealing with insulin resistance/PCOS to enhance their chances of conception through diet, exercise, and insulin sensitizers.
