Fertility conference brings new ideas and IVF advances

We just recently returned from one of the premier fertility conferences in the world – the 2016 American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Scientific Congress & Expo. I’ve been attending this conference since my second-year fellowship in 1999, and every year, I learn something new to bring back to our Southern Louisiana fertility centers.
Fertility trends in the making
Why would you as a patient care whether we attend a conference such as ASRM? First, it’s important because we join some of the brightest minds in fertility care in sharing new ideas and information. Here are just a few of the trends we discussed:

At the ASRM conference, our Southern Louisiana fertility centers were proud to be part of the U.S. group of physicians who share findings with fertility specialists from other countries. Because our IVF pregnancy rates in the United States are somewhat higher than in other countries, we hope to help others seeking fertility treatment in their own countries, or those who travel to the U.S. for fertility treatment not available where they live.
